Question Three Years After Graduation

HI GUYS ,
i know this post is not related to step 1 but i dont know where else to post this i would be happy if someone could help me .... do u think that being graduated 3 yrs before would be a disadvantage ....

Do you mean that you graduated 3 years ago and are thinking on studying for the USMLE? Is that what you are asking?

no...i graduated in 2011 so if i apply for 2015 match it will like 3 yrs right ...i heard that many universities prefer people who graduated less than 3 yrs ..so i just want to know will this affect my chances in getting a residency

Well ive also heard it would be a slight disadvantage for some residency programs. But I guess the general rule is that it isnt.

Hey Kishore...just focus on ur prep...i m giving step 1 almost 7 yrs after my mbbs.. so dont worry & study hard..

U made my day..PPl were scaring the hell out of me for my YOG.

i will be exactly 5 years since graduation when i apply for match next year,.
