if there is no delay like every year you will be ready, but in the last 3 years CK exams was delayed in aug and sept until sept 25th.

Is it considered a significant disadvantage to apply slightly late? Like after the September 25 date you mentioned?

As far as I know you get certified immediately. The confusion we're dealing with is whether the score will be available on Sept 4 or Sept 25 as Shima said. I'm also planning to take my exam the same week as you.

Lets hope that is the case. I think the best thing to do is to call ECFMG and ask them personally.

But still we need to know how long it will take for the ECFMG to send the certificate to the ERAS. When I asked them this, they told me that you should contact ERAS directly and they said something about a payment that I didn't get it. So I will call ERAS tommorow and explain to them our situation.

From what I've heard we receive the online certification at the same time as we receive a pass score on our final step. That is sufficient to apply for residency. However, having the actually certification on paper takes a couple of weeks I reckon.
I could be wrong, but that's all I know. A call to ERAS would be immense though. Thanks for taking the initiative

Paper will take couple of days 3-5 work days, though paper certificate is not required for applying
