Dude I told you, I have more than 10 friends who entered radiology last year.

250+ on step 1, all of them, 1 US-LOR/CAD LOR from radiologist. 1 IM, 1 Ped. LOR with another one from other fields.

Radiology requires 250+ for IMG, and US/CAD LOR.

Like I said, I am trying for Radiology, Going to start a research for it soon, volunteering most likely but trying to get a LOR from a chief radiology with over 500 published papers.

Plenty of IMGs get Radiology. Research is more important than scores. Finish your USMLEs and then do a post-doctoral fellowship at a good university. Get your name out on Pubmed and then you will have an excellent chance of getting Radiology.

Some of my friends told me that rads is impossible for IMG. And I was a little bit disappointed

How old is too old (YOG) for rads? Would 4 years out of med school, if 250> on step 1 and CK and US citizenship make it impossible for rads?

Thanks for shining a light.

Post research

Hey guys, I have a question for any rad resident out there.
What do you think would help me the most in my quest for a Radiology residency in the US:

- a 1 year Research Fellowship in a top University like Harvard or Yale but in a different field (like neurology for example) w/publications
- a 1 year Research Fellowship in radiology, but in a lower rank University hospital w/publications

Please don't go into how hard it is, I just want to know what's better to have in mi CV in order to match.
Thank you so much.
