Question Should I apply with CS pending

Hello,
I am an IMG..step 1: 223, ck: 215 (both first attempt), cs: first attempt failed (just got the result), years after graduation: 2, have a green card , 2 LORs, the earliest time that i can retake cs is gonna be in November, do you think is it better for me to apply for 2014 match and hold my cs result pending, or wait for 2015 match (when i have my cs result)?

Please help...

thank you

If it's possible i think it might be beneficial to apply for this year and if you don't get matched re-apply next year. I believe unlike the failed USMLE attempt, failed match attempt is not disclosed to PD, the only way for them to know is just by deducting from the graduation year.

If you apply for the same program the second time next year they can know that you are a repeat applicant.

So my advice is postpone to next year.

You may apply for few programs like 20 to 50 just for the sake of it and just so you know the application process so that next year you will be better prepared.

Why aren't repeat applicants given interviews? Why is it bad to be a repeat applicant?

Generally, PDs think of repeat applicants as applicants with poor credentials and the fact that they failed previously means there is something wrong with their profiles and it also means that they are further away from clinical practice.
Note that I am saying in general. There will be exceptions of course, some PDs do no mind repeat applicants.
