Certificate Home Country LoRs, No Electronic Upload

Hi.. I hv to get a few LOR from my home country but everyone der wants to give a handwritten LoR on their official letterhead... Is it possible if I can scan those LoRs and upload on ERAS? M sorry if it sounds dumb to u but m very much confused with all this electronic process... Pls help.. Thanx..

I think it is not a good idea, why not you ask your doctor who is giving you LOR to please give you a typed one ?

Hi.. Thanx for d reply... I think I didn't express my concern clearly... Actually I meant typed on a letterhead and nobody der wud upload it electronically.. So I was asking if I cud scan dat n upload it myself.. Sorry abt d confusion..

Yes. You can.

Scan them and upload them in ERAS but remember in that case you are not waiving your rights to see the LoR which is considered a weak point.

What kind of data is required to establish the ID on LoR Portal (aside from email ID of course)?

My home country residency PD agreed on writing me a letter and I would like to make it as painless for him as it is possible. I will ask for an appointment with him and he might ask me to assist him in getting this ID so I would like to be well prepared

Basic contact information such as name and address and email.
It's an easy process.

Don't programs see that you uploaded it yourself?
I've been told its best to waive your right to see it and have it uploaded by doctor IN hospital ?

It's better to waive your rights to see the LoR but it's not a must.
