Your step 2 score is low, but no point crying over spilt milk. Luckily you have step 3 left. Smashing step 3 will increase your chances. So. Smash it.

240+ is kinda steep but I feel anything above 230 in step 3 will help.

Considering his/her step 2 score is only 208 - which now only is above passing mark (203) i would say 240 + step 3 in his/her case

Not going to lie, your step scores won't get past filters on most uni/uni-affiliated community programs!

I am gonna Brutally Honest .Your Chances are Low in IM , Considering your Visa Status and also the step 2 ck Pass marks have been raised to 203 and as Patel Pointed out You would not go past the first Screening Filters unless you have Strong contacts in Program.

Think of applying to a Back up Specialty.

Regards

What is the minimums score in both steps need to pass the screening filter?
For example, my friend is US img and his step 1 score 213, do you expect he will pass the screening filter? He called many university programes and most of them told him you have score above 210 to apply.

Thanks in advance ...

There are No fixed scores .although Universities mention score cut off as 210-220 ,This might be true for Amgs but for Imgs,There are a lot of us and 50% donot end up matching and Programs have more liberty to choose from people with a competitive profile..

In general last year trends were

240/240 +visa required~ 4-5 Interviews
240/240 +decent Usce +Visa required~ 7-8 Interviews
250/250 + Visa Required ~7-8 Interviews
250/250 + decent Usce + Visa Required ~ 15 Interviews

again its Just a General outlook ...Various factors such as Publications,Yog,Contacts may increase the number of Interviews...
