Question Minimum 3 LoRs

I have read that minimum of 3 LORs are required for residency match application, I want to ask that if I apply for 2 specialties , then minimum of 3 LORs for each specialties are required ?

Your LoRs can either be specialty specific or generic non-specified LoRs.

If you want to use specialty specific LoRs (which is highly recommended) then yes you need 3 for each specialty you apply for.

If you want to use generic LoRs (which is not recommended) then you need only 3 LoRs for no matter how many specialties you apply for.

Of course it can be any combination of the above two, for example one generic that you use for all specialties and 4 specific LoRs, two for each of the 2 specialties you are interested in.

Default Please help!

What does a specialty specific LOR means "An OB/GYN LOR author writes as I recommend her/him to any OB/GYN program " ? and a non- specific LOR means an OB/GYN LOR author writes ,I recommend her/him for any program.

Please any one reply me, I am really confused about it

Does an LOR must contain an AAMC ID or can we upload an LOR without an AAMC ID ?? as If I have an LOR before I made an account in ERAS ,can I upload that LOR ?
