Probability My chance for IM with my bad scores

Hello guys,
I'm applying for next match ... But I'm really depressed because I read in this forum that many doctors like my situation didn't match last year or matched in small community programes

My black spot is step 1 score (212) .. CK 234 .. Cs first attempt..
One publication in medpub with us professors.
3 months elective in mount sinai school of medicine (one of them internship) ( 2 months IM and one month vascular surgery)
I have 5 LoRs .. Two from chiefs ..
I'm IMG but I have US citizen... So I don't need visa.
Graduate 2013-April

I will apply in IM ... So, is step 1 score will take me out during screening filter?

Thanks in advance...

You have high chances of matching ! being a US citizen puts you at a high preference. Also your CK scores are good. I feel IM is not difficult for you. If you take step 3 with a good score.. step1 will look like a mistake.

I don't know where you read that ppl like your credentials don't match.

Thank you very much dr.aspirant .. Although my nmbe 11 for step 1 was 244 but I got in real exam 212 ... It was a mistake because I was really tired and stressed during the exam ..
I will do step 3 during the stay in USA for interviews ...

Thanks again for your response!

Happened with me too. No sleep at all and I was too stressed. Scores are proportionate to how much we concentrate on the main day.

Anyway Good luck
