Help Should I Apply?

I know that no one can predict about match result but i am still seeking some experience advice before taking step ahead.
my step 1 score is 206
step 2 score is 229
step 2 cs apssed
YOG-2011
2 month observership in peds
money is big concern for me so i want to ask should i play this big game with this score??

You need Step 3 for a visa; if you can manage that, you should definitely give it a shot

no body have the answer but u would blame yourself if you wont try .... I know it would be expensive but worth to be tried .... go for it and good luck dude

Default Some advice

If you are flexible about your choice of specialty and hospital, then I believe you will have reasonable chance of matching if you apply in IM, FM, and Peds all over the country, specially focusing on community hospitals. And just make sure your rest of the application is in good shape (LoRs, SoP, etc.)

And by the way Step 3 is required only if you need H1 visa. But there are many hospitals that offer/prefer J1, so step 3 is not mandatory for matching...

Step 3 is not just for visa...but for people with average scores.. a high step 3 will make their chances higher. I'd say take it..

a good score on step3 ..and some experience in peds (externship and observership) and good letters...will give u a couple of interviews. Good luck.

almost same here with bit more score
221 step 1
233 step 2
cs pass
VISA NOT REQUIRED
YOG>2010
LORS> yes 2 usa , internal med and cardiology , also 4 months peads observership
any advise for me
am i on the safer side
only applying to internal meds about 120 prgrams
