Question Was your medical education extended or interrupted?

here's the thing guys , after my 4th year in med school (6 yrs school ) I had to leave to the States to get my citizenship paperwork done which I though was gonna take just a year but there was a 6 months delay & I had to leave the school for 2 years in a row & then went back & finished it, so my date of graduation became 2011 instead of 2009.

my question is, do I explain this under the question , was your medical education extended or interrupted ? or should I leave it blank ?

the most important question is How bad is that gonna affect me ? didn't have to repeat a year just took some time off & for a good reason.

thank you , Sabio please if you can help.

@younissmed,

Did you get the answer to your question? I was wondering about the answer to a different but similar question and I've looked all over the net with no luck. I had to take a break after I finished my premed courses and before I officially started medical school, which was not interrupted. How will I answer this question on ERAS? Is it relevant?

Thanks.

my situation is way different because I actually left med school for 2 years , so I had to answer yes to that question with an explanation otherwise they would wonder why the hell it took me 9 years to finish med school
