United Kingdom UK Degree in Surgical Science

Hello,

I am an IMG graduated in 2010, I have passed USMLE step 1&2 ck with235+ in both and have not taken the CS yet, I hope to get matched in surgical residency program in US , I know it is competitive , I would like to know if getting a master degree from UK in surgical science would improve my chances in being matched in surgery programs or no? And are there any better alternatives to improve my chances?

thanks

Yes. It helps. But not too much.

What helps more is USCE and research in surgery in USA with LoRs from USA and connections with surgery residency programs in the US.
