Question Help to choose letters of recommendation

Hi everyone,
I am going to apply for FM this year. Please help me to pick 3 or 4 out of 5 following letters of recommendation (all letter writers are MDs from US)
A. Professor of Internal Medicine, Baylor College of Medicine, observership, summer 2011
B. Family Medicine Physician, observership, summer 2013
C. Professor of Critical Care at University of Texas Houston, hospital research, 2012-2013
D. Professor of Epidemiology at University of Texas Houston, PhD academic adviser, 2010-present
E. Professor of Surgery at Louisiana State University, he receives grant to teach medicine in Vietnam from the same program that I get fellowship to study in US. He is very supportive but we never work together before.
Thank you!
Anh

I think the question is which one letter to drop from these 5.

I'd drop letter B.

Thank you for your quick response, Steptaker! Letter B is from a FM Physician and I am going to apply for FM. So why dropping it?

Oh, I did not pay attention to that. I thought you are applying to IM.
Well it looks like that LoR is not a University LoR that's why I said drop it.
Anyway if you are applying for FM, then yeah, use it.
I don't know then which one you should drop.
Maybe E.
Your CV also factor into this. If you've been doing something for long time recently, you need to get an LoR from that place.

I got your points, StepTaker! How about applying to the university of the letter writer E? If we use letter E for this case, what letter should be dropped instead?

Hey guys,

I got this unwaived LoR from a highly reputed doctor in the US and is approximately one page with very positive sentences. However, there is one sentence which the doctor wrote and I dont like. It is about the level of my knowledge which is not on the same scale with a 4th year US medical student, but says that in the right environment I would easily catch up.

I was not sure whether to put this letter on my application. My scores are Step1 in 240's and Step 2 in 250's.

Is it better to put it or not, because I do not have other US letters.

Sincerely,
Dr. Andrews

It is even better since it tells the truth in a sincere manner. Not simply flattering. Your scores show your knowledge objectively. He comments on it subjectively. It is clear, right?

Excellent scores (which is how they judge your knowledge). I would send it if I were you. Good Luck!
