Question NRMP ID Issue

Hi guys,

Do I need to have NRMP ID before I apply to programs in myeras?
I am asking this because there is this space in PROFILE where we are suppose to write our nrmp id and I guess we will only be able to have one after sep 15th. Is that correct? So should I first apply for a nrmp id, then fill the blank space with my ID and then apply?

Best

I have the same question. How about getting NRMP id first on Sep 15 then enter it into ERAS then apply. It should not delay our application for more than an hour to do so. Or every minute counts from Midnight Sep 14?
Thanks,
Anh

Now they say "you can register with main residency match on sept 15 at 12.00 PM", so it will not be midnight my friend

Then the question now is whether 12 hour delay counts, isn't it? Sep 15 is Sunday so I assume they will download our applications on Sep 16 as the earliest.

Dear Friends,
The match is not a TATKAL train reservation system that a one hour difference in applying to program matters. Please understand that ECFMG and NRMP are two different institutions having different policies and procedures, hence the difference in timing. Wait till you get the NRMP code, write it in your application and then submit. Also remember, 15th is a Sunday and no one would come to check the first applications sent to them at 12 noon!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Dude,

Thanks for answering, but I do remind you that this is a forum. We have doubts and questions. And this was a important question, since even nrmp released an announcement about it in tits facebook page.
So don't come "!!!!!!!"me because a forum is a place for discussion.

have a nice day
