does anyone have the slightly idea of the day that programs start to download the applications?

it all depends on the program some do it first week others next week other same date, most will do the date.

program directors are up at 8am on sunday just to do this, they have been waiting 1 year for this, i bet some have not even slept.

Are you a PD? people just sit behind their PC and write whatever they like. why should a PD stay away just because he wants to invite you for an interview?

I don't see why they can't start in even 1 month from sept 15th. its not an emergency mr tonsillectomy

Postponing the application one week is not a big deal. Even till mid-late October is not a big deal.

Programs differ in the time they start downloading applicant profiles. Some start doing it right away some wait a couple of weeks and many wait for at least a month. The same program differ from year to year, like how busy is the coordinator or when the PD is off on vacation and certainly many other examples.

But the thing is I did not understand your question. Old LoR? what does that mean?
