Calendar Late application to ERAS?

Hi everyone

I want to apply to match this year, but I didn't finish my paper yet, I think that I may have finished them by 25th September. Does this affect my application? I heard that is the must submit your application on 15th September, otherwise you your chances of getting interviews will be very poor even if you apply just few days later.

Thank

Default cont.

I would also ask. does the date of application to ERAS appear to program director, for example, the program director starts to see the applications at 1st October, can he know what the date of application was, is it on 15th September or later, and if he see an application with late date, he can make a clue that this applicant is ignorant and not committed, as an IMG you have to make your applications as best as possible.

Thank you

Yes. PD can see when did you apply if he wants to. But why should he care?
See the thing is not that they prefer early applicants, the issue is that once they scan all applicants and filter them they don't do the job again (they don't have time for that) so the trick is that your application should be there in ERAS before programs start scanning and filtering.
