For Personal Statement it's
Courier New and the size is 10
Your can create it in MS Word but when you upload it, you have to copy and paste into simple text and make sure that the special characters are not corrupted. the best thing is to write it in simple .txt file

You don't upload CV to ERAS.

Do you have any idea what page layout they will use? I mean A4, Legal or Letter? Because different page layout will make different number of pages.

The program coordinator will print out the personal statement using her regular office printer which is Letter or US Letter in the vast majority of offices in North America.
The Letter size is similar to A4 with slight differences, you can read more about this here
Letter (paper size)
