Question Chances Of Residency After Multiple Failures

I'm an International Medical Graduate who graduated in 2009. In the past 4 years I failed my Step 2 CS and recently my Step 1 and Step 2 CK. I managed to retake my Step 2 CS and I passed.

I did a clinical elective in late 2009 and that's the only United States Clinical Experience I have on my CV.

Is it still possible getting into a good Internal Medicine Program or any other program?

Any advice is well appreciated. Thank you.

I forgot to mention that i'm an American who studied abroad. I think I need to reevaluate my choices. Thank you for your honesty...

Dear EmTeewy

The sky is not falling.
Failure is bad but its not the end of your journey.

Please read the post of others which I read here.
Its so motivating.
I am not able to post the links because I am pretty new here.
Search for my experience 3rd attempt in the usmle step 2 forum.
Google Search for "multiple attempts and matched 2016 took 7 steps to get the residency hope this helps". you will see a post in the student doctor forum website.

So just press the gas pedal and keep going buddy.

Good luck
Best Regards
Aspirer

Default Did you fail Step 1, Step 2CK and Step 2CS?

If you failed all three, then I think it's in your best interest to think of a career option other than residency. I don't mean to be demoralizing, but it would be a very, very tough road ahead. If I didn't understand your post as you intended and you only failed CS, then it might be worth continuing based on your Step 1 and 2CK scores
