Default still try

I submitted mine late by 3 weeks last year with CK score came out in 3rd week of October.

I still received 20 interviews (applied 120 programs) last year so u should be fine. I had to cancel 5 because after 10 interview I was drained...I dragged myself through last 5 interviews.

I withdrew from match last year for a personal reason, so entering a match again.

Wish good luck to both of us!

Default Dr. Aknz

I think my score is not steller, but I do have very unique personal background and experience (not related to medicine). I explained pretty well and linked it to how it can help me excel in medical field although it is not medically related, in my personal statement.

Last year when I met program directors, they have told me they couldn't wait to see me after reading my personal statement.

So I guess I have decent enough score to pass the program's filter, and my unique background I mentioned in personal statement caught their eyes.

If you have trully unique and amazing thing about you (ie. you were olympic level swiming athlete 10 years ago... or you were important political figure in your country...etc something super unique) you should mention it in personal statement even if it is not medically related. you can still write it up to link well to show how those experience can help you succeed in medicine.

Hope this helped. Residency matching is not all about scores. It comes in package as a person. Once you score decent enough to pass program filters, the game is on interpersonal skills, spoken english profeciency, and you as a person.

Good luck to all! and don't give up even if your score is not steller because there is more than scores into the match.
