Question PS and LoRs for Prelim; Medicine or Neuro!

Hello friends,
I am applying to Neurology both advanced and preliminary programs. I have a doubt that, while applying for preliminary medicine program, should we assign personal statement of Neurology or separate medicine PS is needed. Also, about LORs, do we have to assign neuro or medicine LORs to preliminary program?

You should check out the neurology match topic, where I have expressed my opinion on this. WHat I did was that I described my work in neurology research and interest in neurology, explained that I think the prelim year is very important and would like to do it with them. I kept it shorter than my neuro PS-s, which were about 750 words. Because IM people are SWAMPED by applications, I reduced my prelim PS to be less than 600 words.
