Are you going for 2014 Match?

I will say research the programs, apply very very broadly to programs with records of accepting IMG (most people I know apply to at least 100 well-selected programs), build connections, try to get people to vouch for you to get interview (use your ethnic background/personal connections/whatever)

As you need a visa sponsorship, I would say no less than 50. Most IMGs applicants apply to over 100 programs as a minimun. I am sure that you will get IVs with your credentials

I hope it was helpful, GL
