Default Scored 80s, Should I drop out?

hi to all,
i am from india , i got 83 & 80 on step 1 &2 .i cleared my step 2 cs and applied for this year .all cleared in first attempt .graduation year 2008.

could anyone suggest ,how are percentage of chances getting the residency . what the next to be taken i.e should i continue for step 3 or else shuold i drop the idea of doing my residency in usa .

Did you get any interviews?

Certainly doing USMLE Step 3 will increase your chances

Am in the same boat
87, 91, CS pass

My scores are little better than yours but I graduated 7 years ago!!

I did not get any interview yet

Both of guys should never drop out

Increase your chances by doing these:

  • High score USMLE step 3
  • Externship or observership
  • Research
  • Connections (if you have connections in any program there's a good chance they call you for an interview)

Default should i drop with scores of 83,80 in step 1 and 2 ,cs cleared

i dint get any interview calls till now.


hope so , i will get along with step 3 and clinical experience
