Passport EAD instead of GC good enough?

I have an EAD(employment authorization document) so I can work in US without requiring the residency programs to sponsor a visa for me.

Can I apply to all programs which consider applications from GC holders?
Will EAD be considered? I know few programs mentioned they accept EAD but my question is can I apply to all programs which consider GC holders ?

Thank you

I dont know the exact answer, I dont think you will find out. But from what I read while looking at pre-reqs for the programs I applied to (about 140 IM), most did not mention anything about it. The few that did, some said you need a valid GC or EAD, few said EAD is fine, and I also read a couple that said they do not accept EAD and you need a valid GC. You will have to call up programs individually and find your answer for each individual program.
