Default Neurology USCE counts for IM?

I've got a couple of opportunities to get some USCE and even research at a university in Neurology. But i'm hell bent on applying for IM next year. Does neurology experience count to IM at all? Or is it just a waste of time and money?

if i was in your position..i would go for IM USCE n research rather than neuro...IM has become super duper competitive since the last two years....Imagine all your co - applicants will have strong LORs from IM USCE n Research i think in a way it may work against you as PDs are very good in scrutinizing ppl applying for two its always better to work towards the specialty you are applyingDo that neuro thing if its handson..and maximum for a month or so...i think that wont hurt much....
