I am from India and currently final intern year of MBBS. I have got paeds electives at harvard for the month of January. I cant to do more than one moth of electives because i have got an extension in internship and with just one month extension my date of graduation will slip to last week of april.

I already have step 1 score in had (243) and i will need to be very fast in taking step ck and cs after april since i will need my results before 15 sep.

My question is :- with similar step 2 ck scores or higher and just one month of harvard elective and may be 2 US lor, will I be able to match in good paeds programs? I am very stressed out because people are saying that match is getting difficult and from 2016 its gonna be no img. I come from a middle class family and with such high expenditure, chances of not getting matched are giving me nightmares:scared:

Please answer my query very very honestly.
Thank You

You are well above the average !!

Are you really applying only for Paeds residency ??, then according to my calculations, your step 1 score seems to be well above the average of around 230 for Paeds. Moreover you have USCE,, so you seem to have good chances of matching , provided next year you are ECFMG certified timely, this is what i feel !! ;)

And people must having been saing about the difficulty of matching ever since the USMLE came into existence !! :D :D
