Unhappy Why am not getting more interviews?

So my stats are as follows: pass on first attempt for Step 1 (226), Step 2 CK (224) and Step 2 CS (pass). I did all my clinical rotations in Chicago and am now completing elective 2 out of 6. I applied on October 16 as I was waiting for my CK score and applied to numerous family medicine programs. So far I have only interviewed at one place. I will also need the j1 visa and the one red flag on my application is that there was a 1.5 year gap between basic sciences and clinical sciences because of finding issues but I won a $20000 scholarship that helped me pay for my clinical years. I won't be ecfmg certified by the match but will be by the time I would be scheduled to start residency should I match. Now I know that my applying late, my need for J1, and my lack of ecfmg certification are all working against me at the moment but I didn't think it would affect me so significantly that I wouldn't get any more interviews other than the 1. I would appreciate some feedback as to how to strengthen my application. I feel very discouraged so far. .

You are lucky to have at least one interview. I have similar credentials and I am without an interview. I am ECFMG certified and therefore I doubt that is why you are not getting anymore interviews. This whole match season is very unpredictable and all we can do is hope for the best. Good luck!

The main reason for the lack of interviews is your VERY late application date (October 16). The programs assume that you will be ECFMG certified by the Match, so that's not the issue. Not being ECFMG certified is an issue if you applied to programs that require it.
There's still a bit of time though, so chin up!

Thanks guys. It's just so disheartening and unexpected. Hopefully the rest of December and January will be more fruitful.

Yep - stay positive for now.
I got an interview 3 days ago, so you just never know.

Default WFH Significant Earning Potential

Hi Guys- Before I introduce this exciting opportunity of work from home (WFH), I first wanted to give you my brief intro so that there is no ambiguity. I am a foreign MD just like many of you and I have also gone through the pain of US medical education and credentialing and am now doing pretty well in the
healthcare side . I spare sometime per week for my other WFH business and am already starting to yield productive results

It is a great and relatively easier way of earning a significant income
and yet be worry free and have control over your time and not reporting to your boss (in other words be your own boss). In the start I did not believe this but when I met live personalities making 6 figure and also 7 figure income per year (including our fellow practicing physicians, lawyers, Engineers etc), it made my belief even stronger and consequently after some initial hard work, I see the results now in the form of ongoing income while working from home.

The beauty about this business is that:-

- once proper framework and structure built, your income will be ongoing and
multiply.
- you get the quality of life and time that you can spend with your friends and
family while you are earning an ongoing income. You can be be anywhere in any part of the world and yet do this business
- it only requires a few hours part time each week (and that is only to
understand and apply the simple principles to the business)

If anyone is willing to know more about this opportunity, feel free to e-mail me
at

workfromhome2782@gmail.com

Again, this is totally voluntary and you have the option to either pursue or not
pursue. PLEASE only serious inquiries as I will only answer those who will have
e-mailed me about this. I AM NOT GOING TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS on THIS FORUM AS IT IS NOT THE APPROPRIATE FORUM. Any body who is serious about this opportunity, please feel free to e-mail me at workfromhome2782@gmail.com

I will be more than happy to walk you through.

Regards
