Question published research in home country vs in US

If I did a research in my home country and managed to publish it, how good is this in my CV? is it even close to a research done in US ?

Default a publication is a publication, regardless

If it's published in a Medline-indexed journal (means your name is in Pubmed) then it's as valuable as any US-based research publication.

However, this is strictly speaking of the research and publication per se. A US-based research also adds the fact that you worked in USA (sort of USCE) and that's why it's more powerful in interviews but your home country publication is absolutely valuable for the CV provided it's in pubmed.

By the way when you apply in ERAS you can link your publication to pubmed but you can't do that if it's not in pubmed.
