Mail Thank you email or card?

Hi everyone,

I finished with my interview and I was wondering if it's a good idea to send a 'thank you' email or a hand written card? I thought email is the way to go but I have read so many different opinions online. I would appreciate your input on this.

What is the usual trend these days..email or card?

Thanks...

e-mail:

1. Less waste.
2. Many cards, etc. are filtered out by secretaries / admin staff and never reach the intended faculty member.
