Arrow My experience as an IMG

IŽve created a blog to share my experience in this long road of getting into residency. My most recent post is on the "Research step" and how I made it happen. Hope some people find it useful.

U are actually a permanent resident. so ur different situation differs from the real imgs who are seeking visas and all.

so i advice u to mention that frst before giving a hope to sumone abt ur ivs and all bcoz its very difficult fr a visa seeking img to get interviews with low scores.

and dont promote ur blog here.u can write things here directly..

'real imgs' !!!
Did you really just write that?
Are IMGs with green cards or US citizenship not real IMGs?
Let's explore this a little further: if you have 10 degrees, are you a real IMG?

Since you're in the business of giving 'advice', here's some for you: Don't post on a forum (for professionals) in the same way you would text a teenager.

ANY IMG with low scores will find it difficult to get interviews. Those who DO get interviews have one or more of the following:

A. Other extraordinary qualifications or qualities
B. Extenuating circumstances for those low scores
C. An 'insider' or contact at one or more programs

Wink Real IMG?

I do consider myself a real IMG! and I am posting my experience that is proven to be helpful to a lot of people. Everybody is different in this process you canŽt generalize, that is why I decided to write a blog in the first place!
A lot of places interview the IMGs and AMGs in different groups. I, of course, was in the IMG group.
And I think promoting my blog here is fine, people who want to read it can go to it and find different posts and resources besides the one post.
