Default J1 VISA (Stamping or COS)

Dear friends, lets share our knowledge and application status for J1 visa. Lets act fast and get it before residency especially if you are willing to go for "Change of Status" because it is a slow process however there is almost nil chance of rejection. On the other hand Visa stamping in our country is a faster process after gathering all documents however people say it is little risky.....
So friends how are you proceeding? Lets help each other.
I am Planning to get my Contract letter from hospital as soon as possible then proceed, Not yet decided Stamping or COS.......... hope this is the right start....

You can have some basic info from ECFMG website because they are the ones to sponsor J1. Go to ECFMG>Programs > Exchange Visitor Sponsorship Program ( EVSP)
