Default ECFMG certification for IMGs

I am planning to apply for the 2015 match. I've taken Step 1. My Step 2CS will be done at the end of April, and I am taking Step 2CK in early July.

Here are my questions:

1. What is the deadline for ECFMG certification, if I want to be ready for the 2015 Match? Is it 15th September 2014 (i.e. when ERAS opens?)
2. Is ECFMG certification mandatory for the application? My understanding is that it is not, but that most programs prefer you to have it by the time you apply.
3. Do you think my current timeline allow enough time to get my results and my ECFMG certification?

1. There is not a deadline, but Sept 15 is the 1st day ERAS opened this year (and I believe for 2015, as well, though I am not 100% sure). So if would be ideal to be ECFMG certified by this date

2. No, it is not mandatory, but desirable.

3. Yes, it should be enough time, unless there is an unexpected delay in score reporting, but even then you should be safe. (this assumes that you have already graduated and your medical credentials are already verified by the ECFMG!)
