Default Match question

If somebody is applying for advanced position and match for prelim but not advanced. For the next year if he matched for PGY2 advanced position does he have to wait one extra year or he can just start when his prelim finishes?

No, you can apply to PGY2 position during your preliminary year, and start from there

Is 249 in step1 good enough?!!!!
