Default Radiologist in Europe!

Do a specialist in Europe need to start the residency all over again in the states?
Is there any other way?
I know that one can do fellowship in the states but will that lead to a licence in US?

Your help is highly appreciated!

In most of the states you need to complete at least 3 years of accredited training for international medical graduates (usually only one for AMG), to get a medical license.
Most of the hospital will ask you be board eligible / certified, for your area of practice, to get a job. In this case radiology, and for that you have to complete a full residency program. Otherwise you will increase the liability of malpractice for your division, and you won't be able to get an academic position

Thank you for your answer @usmlethree!

I have the opportunity now to start my radiology residency in Europe but I would rather live and work in the states as many others in this forum
Residency in radiology is 5 years here so I guess i'm better off if I just try US first and if I don't succeed then go for it here in Europe.

Thanks again for your help!
