Question Can we work on ERAS before September 1st?

I know September 1 is the first day of applications. but I'm a bit confused. can we start uploading and filling out the application on ERAS once our token is valid. and then on September 1, we just choose the programs to where we are applying and transmit them?

Arrow Yes, you can

Yes, you can do that.

You will have access to ERAS in mid July. You can use those 45 days to upload your documents (LoRs, MSPEs, Dean Letter, Scores, CAF, ..etc) and also you can research residency programs and select the ones that you want to apply to and then in September you just click apply.

Hi,

I need help, I will get some LoRs in the next months because I am doing some observerships but I am going to apply next year (2014 for the match of 2015) and I don't know how could I get those letters of recommendation into my ERAS for the next year.
Please any comment is welcome.

You're going to upload them in July/August 2014, why would you upload them now? You'll get your eras token for the next season and upload them then. I'm not sure how helpful this will be but I would suggest they not put a date on the lor..
maybe someone else can shed more light on that matter.

Thanks, but I read that if you want to include a LORs in your ERAS application you should ask for a letter request form, givit it to the writer and with it the writer could upload the letter to the ERAS or sen it to your Dean's office.
So, in the next months I could actually get some LORs but because I am not applying yet, how should I do the process.
Do I wait until next year to ask for those letters or there is a way to obtein them now and save them for my next year application process.

Well you could get it written now and upload it yourself next year, if they are ppl who you think will not write you one next year; this letter will not be "waived". But if they are close personal contacts that get it written next year with a recent date and tell them to upload it themselves, all you have to do is go on the eras website and fill out the dr's info and eras sends them a link to upload it with directions on how to, this lor is "waived". There's been plenty if threads on which lor is better, you should look it up on this forum.. Good luck!
