Default Anyone tried IMGprep customized residency lists?

Are they worth the money? Or I should go for something more popular like match a resident?

Dont rely on someone else to do what you should do yourself.

Default dear drsaid

i agree that the homework should be done by self. since the various "professional" agencies which offer externships and internships are to exploit IMG's. One also has to understand most IMGs dont have unlimited amount of time. One can do some homework about various programs from their home country before landing and immediately start their USCE.
Getting into hospital observerships is like winning lottery. The other option is for utilising their services.

Wasn't taking about observerships, mate. Was talking about the list of IM residency programs and their requirements. And I sure as hell know how to do my homework but was looking for something to "re-inforce" that (as probably applying at the right places is the most important thing you can do). Thanks anyway.

People who stay on top of the ball will find time to do this very IMPORTANT home work. Lazy people will always wait for others to pass along their lists, not knowing that there are countless programs that may not be applicable to them.

I posted the following on another thread, it applies here also:

I think its always best to create your own list. Go through FRIEDA to find all the programs in each state that you are interested in applying to. Look up individual websites of each program, and you'll come across the "APPLICATION PROCESS" link, click it and you'll find everything you need. Programs change their requirements regularly with regards to step scores cut-off, YOG cut-off, what type of visa's they sponsor (or if they dont), and how much and what kind of USCE is required (if required). No one but your own personal research will land you the results that are specific for your application - I encourage you and everyone else to do your own search and make your own list. Best time to do this is August. By then most programs have finalized their criteria for upcoming year and updated the websites accordingly. Good luck.
