This is the one day workshop course,(atleast the one i attended) .. all about ethics, like ethics of electronic health records, what we should/should not do, what info are we allowed to see, what can happen if we breach confidentiality etc etc . in the end they give us the certificate.. most observerships require us to show that certificate.. just to let them know that we understand things regarding EMR and confidentiality..

Default Training Hipaa

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) was enacted in 1996. This is USA federal regulation for healthcare industry and business that support them. HIPAA Training course can be of different level based on your job role in the company. All employees go through basic level training and compliance team goes through comprehensive level of training. There are different methods of the training like instructor led classroom training, online instructor led live webcast training and online anytime training. There are many providers who offer training course so it is better to go with industry accepted certification credential. If you need the basic level training, consider the Certified HIPAA Privacy Associate (CHPA) and if you need the compliance officer level HIPAA training course then consider the Certified HIPAA Privacy Security Expert (CHPSE) training.
