Default Does steps expired?

step 1 2009 , step 2 2010 and cs 2012. (ECFMG ISSUED). anybody knows will any step will be expired? thanks.

Save It!

The USMLE Steps take 7 years to expire from the date you took the exam.

Therefore:
Your Step1 will expire in 2016, your step 2 CK will expire in 2017 and finally your step 2 CS will expire in 2019

In 7 years. That is why you have that lapse of time to pass your step 3 and get your license

Default can steps expire after ecfmg certification?

also can someone please let me know when is the license issued. Is it at begining or end of residency training?

Just out of curiosity, if one of your steps expires can you retake the exam and will the PDs see your old or new score

Just to be sure: You mean 7 years from the first step taken until you get your license, right? So in these 7 years you must also include the number of years for the residency training, correct?
