Help MSPE, is this absolutely positively necessary?

I am curious if MSPE is absolutely necessary for the match. Its very difficult for me to get this done, the amount of bureaucracy one has to put up with is tremendous. anybody matched in the last 2 years without one of these? I would appreciate if someone could shed a bit of light on this particular topic.

If you're an IMG, then yes you can apply without it and indicate that on your MyERAS application. PDs know that not all foreign med school give MSPE, this is why they don't place any importance on it if you are an IMG.

I agree with @r0ck. However if yours school provides one, your application stand out over other IMGs
