Question My concerns

Hi to every body,

this is my first time to use the usmle forum ..
i want to ask a question .. I am a 2007 IMG ,, and now am studying for step one and intend to take it by the end of this year ,, so my question is first : what is my chances to get a match ?? and second thing do i need to do an research or observer ship in order to get matched ??

If you get 99 in Step 1 and 99 in Step 2 CK and do observership/exernship then you get good chances
If you don't get high scores and don't do USCE then your chances will be much less.

Observership would just be observing a medical team, it gives you experience but not hands-on experience, but in an externship you have hands-on experience in a clinical environment. (for ex: patient history assessment, physical examination, note taking, etc.)
