Question What matters the most during an interview?

If one has a bad interview performance but with good scores can he get the residency?
Should we have to answer correctly all the questions during our interview or is the interview just a formality for selected candidates

Arrow What they look for in the interview

Your USMLE Scores get you the interview but when you come to the interview it's not the scores anymore.

They will be looking at your personality, communication skills, likability, fitting into the program or not, ...etc

So even if you have super scores, if they don't like you in the interview, they won't rank you.

I agree with StepTaker, the interview weighs much in the ranking and matching process. Try to look professional, don't carry things with you to the interview, know how to answer the major questions as why this specialty, why our program, present a case, what about your future...
