Default home work experience

Hi all, I'm a 2013 grad from India. Step 1 - 229, Step 2ck - 238, CS - 1st time pass; 2 weeks observership with a good US LOR; I'm planning to apply to IM programs. I've been working in a good hospital in my home country in Dept of Gastorenterology for the last 8 months. Does this work experience count at all? And what are my general chances in getting IM with my very limited USCE?

Hi, i would apply broadly, to many community programs. While PDs like to see US clinical experience, having any kind of clinical experience is better than not having any at all. I'm sure some PD do know that medicine practiced outside of the US can still be solid medicine! Good luck!
