Planning Done with Step 1 and CS and will do CK in July

I am confused and wanted to ask u question. I am done with step 1 and cs amd my CK exam is in July. I am looking to enroll in the match for 2012. What should i do now.

first of all get done with your ck and score good.
and if you dont have USA clinical experience start working on it. like try to arrange for shadowship from now. because before you start shadowing , there is a lot of paperwork to complete the administrative process . so best of luck

I have worked as research associate for over 3 years.

Once i applied How long does take for the ECFMG certificate to be sent to me?

If your credentials are verified and you pass all three exams, you should get the ECFMG certificate within 2 weeks.

You can apply in ERAS prior to that but then you won't say that you are ECFMG certified (because if you say you are certified you need to put the date of issue which you don't know until they actually produce the certificate for you).

If you apply without saying you are ECFMG certified, you will lose chances. There are some programs who specifically say that they need ECFMG ceritifed before sending for interview.

I suggest you wait until you get the certificate even if that means that you don't apply exactly September 1st, up to 10 days into September is OK.
