Question ACLS certification

hello members,
Can anyone give me information about ACLS courses.
all i know is that one should get certified from AHA accredited course because then your certification is valid throughout usa?is this true?
will this certification make my CV strong?
and this classes are just for 2 days only.. is this true
and is there any exam after your classes to get certified?

Yes, it's good for your CV.
Yes, the AHA accredited ACLS is the best to take.
Yes, it's for two days.
Yes, there's a written exam by the end of the course and you have to pass it.

Isn't it a waste of money to do it on your own?

I mean, PGY-1 they give you ACLS Training anyways, so might as well save your $$?
