It is tough to get into the system but he has to be persistent. How about Mt. Sinai did he check there?

My friend is an international medical student. He is very interested in doing an elective in pathology in the US. His problem is that he cannot find a hospital that asks for no fees or for reasonable fees. He found a hospital that asks for 4000$ per month and this is too much!

So please for those who have USCE, can you guys share with me where you had your experience and if you had to pay any fees?

I will appreciate your help.

Technically you can, but unless you specifically want to be AP or CP only (that is 1 year less in training, but much harder to find job, especially for IMG), just apply to AP/CP.
