Three Points:
  1. CS Exam will restart again on June 17, it will stop temprarily only.
  2. Lying to Visa officers is not a good idea, but ignoring facts might be OK, so just don't tell them about your relatives, that's OK
  3. Apply as early as possible and whenever you get the Visa go take the CS, visa processing times vary and there's a potential that you get rejected first.

Visa officers get suspicious when they know that you have relatives in USA because they think that if you have family/relatives there then you are not likely to leave to USA and then you'll be a burden (illegal status) after finishing the allotted visa time.

Try to avoid telling them that you have relatives if possible.

Question

StepTaker, What if I tell the visa officer nothing about the exam and tell him only that I am going to USA for a pleasure trip and to meet my First cousins.. I will NOT mention about USMLE anywhere at all.. How about that? Would that grant me a Ten year multiple entry B1/B2 Visa? Please do reply asap as my interview is soon..

Hey I am not much experienced..But after my recent US visa denial..I can only say that I think it would be useful not to mention your FIRST cousin. Why don't you meet up an attorney and then proceed.Once rejected, you will just be wondering what to do next like I am right now..Thus, I say don't mention any relatives..Rest,talk to an attorney..They will guide you better. Please Please Please don't go unprepared..And take your return ticket and your hotel booking.

Only mention your immediate relatives only mother father son daughter brother sister thats it.
Because that is in their records but they dont have any records of your cousins or far relatives, so avoid telling them and increasing your records in a bad way!
