Got my B1-B2 Visa

i took my ck on dec 8 and then i started working on visa issue, let me tell u that i waited for step 1 and step 2 results before applying for visa. I met lot many ppl, discussed many issues, memorized section 214(b) . after consulting many fellows,visa experts, and my ''visa holding lucky'' friends i extracted following important points to get visa.
>u must have taken both step 1 n step 2 before applying.
>u must b employed(EXTENDED HOUSE JOB, AND JOB WITHOUT PAY IS USELESS).
>u must have legal papers(affidavit n legal surity bonds) showing that u will return after c.s other wise u will b legally liable.
>u must have proper itinerary showing that u will only visit c.s exam center n no other visits inside u.s
>u must not mention about ur relatives in u.s EXCEPT PRIME FAMILY MEMBERS i.e BOTHER,SISTER, PARENTS( even if u have, if u mention thats like a suicide in islamabad embassy ).
>u must have strong bank statement of ur sponsors.
>ur future plans shud b PLANNED IN such a way that shows u will obvoiusly cm back to ur homeland after c.s
>ur personal job's pay slips, showing that u r really getting pay here in pakistan n cant stay away for a long time.
>properly signed ''leave application'' from ur job officer, institution head(M.S).
>all the documentations regarding c.s
> hotel booking in u.s showing ur temporary stay.
> MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE(IF MARRIED.)


AND ABOVE ALL , WHILE UR INTERVIEW U SHOULD LOOK PROFESSIONAL, TALK LOGICAL, THINK PRACTICAL ,STAND CONFIDENT AND SPEAK CLEAR.



with all the above thing completely practiced and mastered i appeared in ISLAMABAD U.S EMBASSY... HAD 5 MIN INTERVIEW, N FINALLY GOT B1,B2 VISA APPROVAL...THANX TO ALLAH PAK..

want to know that is it necessay to write the exact location of hotel address in the form actually i aint bookd the hotel yet n have to fill the form so get interview date early,...n how many days after submission of fee interview date is available in pak,...congratz for visa ,..i also schedual my date in july 31 in cs

select exam center info.
Download the info of ur exam centers.
There will b a list of hotels nearby exam centers. Select any of them.
Booking a hotel is not must...even showing room availability is enough.

Me and my friends have observed a pattern for B1/B2 visa for Doctors applying for CS.

4 of us got refused under same section 214b at different times from november 2011 to yesterday 13 march 2012. and yet we all had same VO (overweight african american with shaved head and face but with a Goatee) at islamabad embassy and while waiting for visa interview we all observed that this particular VO was refusing almost everyone and his interview never lasted for more than 2 or 3 minutes . can you tell us about your VO and i think you posted a couple of months ago about visa refusal aswell. if so did you happen to have this VO for your first interview. and did the VO ask about your previous application and reason for its refusal ?

oooooooooooops.. At first tym , same black man interviewed me. N rejected without any reason . It was total luck...this tym luckily a young lady took my interview, n she approved my visa simply.....so its a luck factor as well..... A ray of hope is still there , a same v.o never takes ur interview twice. So next time when u will apply, other v.o will take ur interview, n u have good chances ........goodluck

is it a rule that same person doesnt take your interview twice? because i was thinking of applying to karachi embassy next time but their visa interview wait time is 23 days .... my CS is for 9th of May and i wanna get my interview by mid april. and secondly did you change anything in your visa application (i.e your current job) or you went with identical documents you had from the first visa application? because there are some posts over here in this forum where ppl went for second try and they were refused on fact that VO said that he cannot reverse decision of first interview as nothing on the application has changed and the person is still working at same job on same post.

No I don't think that's a rule.. Why would it be? Sounds really stupid to me.. FYI my friend got interviewed by the same person thrice so...............!

yes , at the time of application i made 3 changes,. i changed my mailing address, as this time i was married n living in a different city due to a new job of post graduate trainee.....so3 changes...job, marital status and mailing address .... reapplying on a same application is not a good option

..at islamabad US embassy, if u get b1b2 visa refusal from one v.o, next time u will have different v.o for ur interview....its time tested

today , another of my friends got b1b2 visa, n he had all the things which i mentioned in my post, along with that CONFIDENCE ,SMILE AND LOGIC

Well it doesn't happen in India so maybe a special rule for your country!

i wouldnt hold my breath though.... a friend of mine with step 2 score of 264 was rejected by same person on the very same reason.If you get this person as VO your chances of Visa approval are less than 0.00001 % but if you dont get this VO than you have even chances of approval....at the moment looking at faranfani post it seems obvious that they are only giving visa to married ppl working as trainee "TMO"... that is who have been in their country at least or 3 years after graduation. they are simply refusing fresh graduates . ppl doing house job, ppl done with house job and working as MO after housejob and waiting for FCPS examination

well , at US EMBASSY ISLAMABAD, there policy is not clear....previously they were rejecting all the c.s exam candidates, but from last week they r issuing visa...so , nothing can b said surely, all we can say is'' THE MOST LIKELY thing or option '' leading u to visa

are u referring to that african american VO???

yes i had the same person... if your VO is an overweight african american with shaved head and face but with a goatee on chin sometimes wearing spectacles ..... thats the one .... he is there just to reject ppl. he has no other purpose in life ..... and his interviews are very short too just asks 3 or 4 questions and at most times refuses to see any documents and his favorite excuse for rejection is not enough ties to your country

ill still say at th end that visa is purely by luck.....ive experienced rejection trice before due to strong family ties in USA and on the very same day and with the veru\y same VO my friends got the visa and they situ was and now is exactly the same as that of mine......My elder bro who is CSP officer refused by the same VO last december and he is married !!!!....
Anyways its always sigh of relief when u hear that people are getting the visa and it will always give goose spell when u hear that VO after taking a lenghty IV refused.

all the ppl who got visa (your friends that is) is any one of them working as HO or MO or working as demonstrator after completing house job .....or they are all TMOs ?

kindly note that 2 yrs back there was a VO also famous as fat south asian extremley dark american...he had the habbit of refusing but he also issued visa to couple of lucky guys....but this current african american is refusing every thing...even this guy knows arabic as well and if u mention any arabic country as u lived or visited he will start interviewing u in arabic

thats possible ... like i said .... with other VOs you have even chances of getting visa or getting refused but this aftrican american doesnt nothing but refuse ppl .... 4 of my friends and i were refused by same person. and he asks identical questions and uses same excuse for refusal . and when your sitting in waiting place looking at counters where interviews are being conducted. on this african american VO counter you will never see interviews longer than 2 or 3 mins and all the people you saw going to his booth you will see them outside with yellow slip

Back then we all were medical students...but i had two snrs who worked with me in HJ...one of them didnt get the visa and one of them did with 2-3 days apart of theri IV and they are not married still..so now one is in USA about to complete his residency and other one opted for plab

my college seniors ... 2 year senior to me ... all those ppl got walk in interview and visa on spot and none of them got rejected even when they were not doing housejob .... 2 years back.... they very recently started screwing everyone

Well no doubt 2 yrs back cs visa was relatively easy to get but still i know many people either directly or in directly refused but on re applying did get the visa....only exception was my snr who opted for plab later and i am who were continuously refused ....

If i have been refused a visa before (but no stamp on passport, and no paper given) shall i mention the refusal in the application form in the refusal question????

if u applied and got rejection, then you must have to mention it, as its in their record that u have applied previously...
