That's sucks. Visa interview like interview at port of entry is entirely based on the mood of the person conducting it. The only thing is when she asked whom you will be visiting, you probably should have just given a direct answer either stating that you are only going to go for the test and come back when the test is done or just answered the question very specifically (why did you bring up about clinical training when she asked whom would you visit? Also, observership is not exactly clinical training as in real sense of the term you would need J1 or H1b visa to "train clinically" in the US. For observership, it might have been best if you had said what it really is, i.e. that you would be observering ad shadowing a physician in a hospital setting)
And when she asked why not Canada, you might have said that you are scheduled for CS as it has to be given at centers only in the US
Theses are minor issues and for the most part, the person might have been just pissed off and taken the frustation out on you. But when you go for interview next time, stick to one thing. I would have said I have an exam that I have to give in the US. Try and be very specific to the questions without too much explanation, be confident and pray that you get a decent interviewer next time.

yeah, thanks for reply. in my case what i found was that, my vo was very rude. just simply sipping coffee and not even listening to me and kept on typing on her computer. Rest of vo there had a smile on their face while conducting interview and some even talked in hindi.
I got messed up with her weird attitude. i guess i mentioned observership word too, n had an invitation letter requesting b1 visa from embassy.
trying next time in a month.
thanks for advice
