India CS visa issue-INDIA

Hello friends,
My plan: I am giving step 1 in nov. and i will apply for step 2 CK after my step 1 exam. May be around dec. I am planning to take my step 2CK by march ending of 2013.
In few days i am applying for CS exam and thinking to take exam by first week of May 2013.

Till now i am thinking that it will work but still i have some insecurity that if i fail that CS attempt. I will not have any more chance to apply again. I checked those july and august dates are already taken by other applicants.
So i was thinking
I will get my step 1 scores by 20th dec. or sometime near that. Can i apply for visa after i get my step 1 scores? Then may be i will do externship for one month (jan) and give CS in Feb. and continue doing my externship till april. Then i will come back home and prepare to give step 2CK in 2-3 months.
Is it a sensible plan?
And ya i heard lot of indians got visa assistance by some kind of agents. Can i get any agent contact no. Who can help me with this issue?
one more question- Just imagine if i get B1-B2 visa and when i enter US and they give visa only for 6 months. I will come back but later on can i go back after 1 month again for my interview and stuff?
Thanks all suggestions will be appreciated.
Specially from some experienced fellow who have gone through this issue.
Please suggest ASAP. Have to apply for my CS attempt asap.

Your plan sounds good...

with b1 /b2 , when u enter us they will give you maximum of 6 months usually. after the period ends, u can enter us in same year after a few days , provided you have a strong reason ( like interviews or whatever)

Agents ! i am assuming u are talking about visa consultant .. where are u from? i mean in india which city? i can give you a consultant in my city who charges 5000-7000 rs .. takes care of all the visa procedure n all your doubts too... (pm me your city if you need the contact details)..
all the best buddy..

Hi,
which city are you from?
I also went through an agent and it went quite well. My internship was quite busy and I had no previous experience of visa application.
I took his help because he helped my bro get his visa for the gulf. So I just think you need an agent who is already known to be reliable.
He charged me only 2.5k above the regular fees(around7-8k)
They had a visa expert adviser who had called me up and I had this mock phone visa interview. Be nice and confident. Dress up well. Keep it simple and professional( I even saw gals wearing evening gowns!! dont know what happened with their visas) Keep your documents at hand.

My consultant is in Mumbai. And he owns a single office near my house.
If I were you I would find something around my city. I am sure Delhi has lots of them.

Well talking about big names.. the consultant I applied through is a regular tourist visa person( travels and tourism ) and I was the first student in his consultant career! (obviously I was told about this after I got my 10 year multiple entry b1/b2) I am not sure but they say that the application you fill up is very important and should look flawless.
You may ask your seniors or even friends who went for other purposes like doing Masters /PhD etc. I will try to write my detailed visa experience but because I applied through an agent I myself dont know most of the details
