Passport Visa interview - printed score sheet or official transcript?

Hello,

What do I need for the visa interview for CS? Step 1 score printed from online score is enough or do I need to apply for the $50 transcript option from ECFMG?

I'm planning to take step 1 by mid-jan and step 2 cs by mid-march. By my calculation, the step 1 result would be available in the first week of feb.

I have the CS visa letter, but I believe I need to show at least one score to the visa officer. How do I show him my score? Do I just print out the score online or should I get the detailed transcript and show it to him/her? If it is the latter, I would not be able to schedule my CS exam in mid-march since transcript arriving by post is going to take at least a month.

Please let me know how to proceed, thanks.

No need for transcript. Print out should be fine.

Thanks Vaibhav!

Also, any idea how long it takes from approval of Visa to actually getting the papers and stamped passport in hand (I live in the same city as the consultate)?

P.S.: People in many posts have mentioned one should also carry to the interview, a "CA assessment of your finances". What exactly do they mean? Is recent Income Tax Returns, bank statements and Registration Certificate of car and property deeds of the sponsor enough or does one need to hire a professional to asses the entire worth and have a certificate in hand. I'm asking because, again, if it is the latter, it is going to take time.

You're welcome. I stay in the same city as the embassy so got it within 2 days after my interview so it's safe to say within few days you will get it.

I found this site very helpful in getting the documents ready for interview -

In case you still have some questions, feel free to PM me.

Good Luck!
