Question Longer Stay than Expected

hey guys,
i have a doubt.
i have got my visa for CS but i have also got a chance to shadow a physician in his private clinic .
now my issue is that i had mentioned that i'll be in usa for 3 weeks in my ds-160 , but now with this observership i will stay back for like 2 mnths .
so what should i tell the immigration counter guy ?
my return tickets will obviously show a much later return than i had initially expected .
please advise

Tell him the truth (if he asks). There's no problem with that.
