You'll get it next week, I guess.

Which city you applied in? it depends on how busy they are.

Default Same case !

Hey there ! I've had the exact same scenario as yours! I was given the white form with my case number and the interviewer he's asked me to keep checking my case online ! I have no clue how long it should take either.. It is a bit worrying isnt it ? I have been interviewed 3 weeks ago at the embassy in Cairo and nothing has come through yet.

Unhappy Administrative Processing??!

Hi Guys,

I'm new to this site, but I had a question regarding administrative processing. I'm a 30 year old male from Pakistan. I have a contract to start internal medicine residency on July 1st. I interviewed last month for my J1 visa. The VO said that it would take a minimum of 30 days and he kept my passport. I needed my passport to travel home, so I requested it back. They have given me a case number and have told me to f/u on it. It has been 50 days since interview date. From anyone's personal experience here, how long does it take MAXIMUM for clearance? And does the fact that I have a job offer as a physician carry any weight and would they speed up the process?

Any and all opinions are welcome, I'm pulling my hair out here!

~C

Default Hey there

Hi there ,, Listen man , i have checked a lot of forums online and what i found out that it could take up to 12 months or more and that's regarding your question (max time) but as far as i know you have to wait for at least 6-8 weeks and then you should email the embassy to verify what's happening with your case ! I have been waiting for mine and it's been 30 days almost and am already pulling my hair as well ,, wait for another 10 days i'd say and then contact the embassy ( i guess it is not the best thing to keep contacting them every other day .. let it rather be every other week)
Good luck to you and to all of us who are waiting as well !
